Heart of Variety Fund
Heart of Variety offers limited financial help for Texas families who have a child, youth, or young adult under age 22 who lives with a disability. Grants help cover essentials like medical care, equipment, home repairs, and other urgent needs.
Our current round of funding opens on October 20, 2025 and will focus on families affected by severe weather events. All families will receive notification of grants for this round of funding by November 30, 2026.
If you have a request but have not been impacted by severe weather, you will be added to our waitlist for consideration in our next round of funding.
Our Advisory Committee is made up of people who have disabilities, people who know what it’s like to live with a disability, and a member of our Board of Directors. The committee makes recommendations on grant awards typically ranging from $500 - $2,500 per request (with a lifetime cap of $10,000 per family).
We look forward to hearing from you and learning more about your family’s needs.

“A few years ago when we received our first Variety TX grant for therapy, we got to hear our daughter speak for the first time. Now, years later, she is projected to graduate.”
