The Texan of the Year Gala benefiting Variety, the Children's Charity of Texas, is an annual fundraising event that serves as a platform to recognize and honor the remarkable achievements and philanthropic endeavors of exceptional (and honorary) Texans who have made significant contributions to Variety and the individuals we serve.

2025 Texan of the Year

This year, we are honoring The Schulman Family, owners of City Lights, Film Alley, Movie Bowl Grille Schulman theaters. This family has supported Variety of Texas for over a decade and are a pillar in the cinema industry. Join us in honoring them August 27th!

2025 Impact Award Winner

Variety of Texas has been supported by Cole Eason as beneficiaries of the Val Eason Memorial Golf Tournament for over a decade, resulting in a contribution of over $95,000. We are so grateful to honor his impact at our Texan of the Year Gala.
