We also accept siblings of diabetic campers to Camp Bluebonnet on a limited basis.

Safety & Health

During Camp Bluebonnet the infirmary is staffed by our Medical Director, Dr. Matt Stephen, and several medical staff volunteers. Two-three medical staff volunteers travel with each age group to help with diabetes management, blood glucose testing, and mealtime boluses. Read our Camp Bluebonnet Camp Info Document for more information about our medical staff and the Camp Bluebonnet Diabetes Management protocol.

During CB Saturday LITs our high school-aged campers are in charge of their own care. For CB Saturday, a parent or caregiver is required to register with all younger campers and manage diabetes care during this camp event.
