What Is the Variety Texas' 2026 Giveback Social?
The Giveback Social is Variety Texas' largest annual fundraiser — a night of great food, unlimited drinks, live music, and genuine community. It's where Texas families, theater owners, corporate partners, and longtime supporters come together to celebrate a shared commitment: that every child deserves access, opportunity, and joy.
The 2026 event is set for Wednesday, August 26, in Dallas. The venue is located just off US-75, making it easy to reach whether you're a local resident, a theater owner traveling in from across the state, or a CineShow attendee hopping on our free shuttle directly from the show floor.
This Year's Theme: You Asked, We Listened
Last year, you told us what you loved about the Texan of the Year event — the people, the energy, the sense of occasion — and what you wanted more of: more time to connect, more drinks, more room to breathe and celebrate.
We built this year's event around that feedback.
The 2026 Giveback Social is a casual, high-energy post-CineShow gathering. No formal program to sit through. Just a great night with people who care about the same things you do: good company, cold drinks, and the families across Texas who benefit from everything we do together.
