Some of the best things happen when good people come together for a great cause.

On August 26, Variety – the Children's Charity of Texas welcomed supporters, industry partners and friends to Oak Highlands Brewery in Dallas for our annual Giveback Social. Held alongside CineShow, the evening brought our community together for good food, live music and a shared commitment to creating more opportunities for Texas children with disabilities.

And what a night it was!

Good Company, Great Fun and an Even Greater Purpose

From dinner and drinks to live entertainment by The Traveling Cinema Thugs, the Giveback Social was an opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, welcome new supporters and celebrate everything this community makes possible.

Guests also had the chance to participate in raffle drawings and Cinema Passport giveaways throughout the evening.

But beyond the entertainment, the heart of the event was something much bigger.

Every contribution helps Variety Texas continue its work supporting children with disabilities and their families through programs that create greater access to everyday opportunities.

Whether it's adaptive equipment that helps a child move more independently, therapy resources that support their development or programs that make participation possible, the generosity of this community has an impact far beyond a single evening.

The People Who Make It Possible

Events like the Giveback Social happen because people choose to show up.

We are incredibly grateful for the sponsors and partners who supported this year's gathering, including the individuals and organizations whose generosity helped bring the evening together.

A special thank-you goes to Oak Highlands Brewery for hosting us, along with our event sponsors, in-kind donors, volunteers and members of the cinema industry who continue to support Variety Texas.

Your involvement helps turn an evening of connection into meaningful opportunities for children and families across our state.

The Impact Continues Long After the Event

For 90 years, Variety Texas has worked to help children with disabilities access the resources and opportunities they need to participate more fully in everyday life.

Through our Heart of Variety grant program and inclusive community initiatives, we continue building on that mission.

The Giveback Social is an important reminder that this work doesn't happen alone. It takes people who believe in making our communities more accessible and who are willing to invest in that future.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored or supported this year's event: thank you.

We loved celebrating with you and are grateful to have you as part of the Variety Texas community.
