The work that any charity does is derived directly from the donations that it garners from its supporters. Without the assistance of individuals and corporations around the globe, a charity cannot make a positive impact in the lives of those it serves.

Variety is no different. We encourage you to look over the work that Variety does by reviewing stories of the children it supports through its Heart of Variety Fund, its other programs and by reading what else is going on with Variety.

Before you make the decision to donate, Variety also encourages you to look at our recent and historical financial statements. We believe that donors should have all the information they need prior to making the ultimate decision to make a gift.

By reviewing our financials, you will see that our most recently completed fiscal year entailed just under 85% (84.6% to be exact) of our total expenses going directly to our programmatic offerings. This is 10% above the more aggressive industry standards of 75%.

These donations are used by Variety in a number of ways from offsetting our overhead expenses, to running fundraisers to ensuring our programs are as effective as possible.

RESTRICTED DONATIONS

These funds are used 100% (minus credit card processing fees) to benefit the program supported. When making a restricted donation, please ensure Variety is aware of how you want your funds restricted. At this time, Variety offers restricted donations to the following programs:

• Heart of Variety Fund
• Special Needs Movie Screenings
• Holiday Party
• Bikes for Kids
• Take 'em Out to a Ballgame
• Donor's Choice - Variety will work with the donor to ensure an appropriate program(s) is created or supported.
